Ok case with some design issues,
I bought this case to use with my new Ipod 80GB classic. After using it for a few weeks, here are some pros and cons I noticed about it:
Pros:
-Rugged plastic does seem to protect the Ipod nicely
-Included a nice ‘stick on’ screen protector
-The fold out stand is pretty functional when used on a desk top
-80GB classic Ipod fits relatively snug inside case with minimal wiggling
-The price of this case was reasonably cheap compared to other cases.
Cons:
-The hole for the headphone jack wasn’t large enough to completely insert standard jack without having to open the fold-out stand to access it. This was the most annoying thing about this case. (This may not be an issue for you if you have headphones that have a super skinny jack)
-The hole for the “hold” button had the same problem… you can’t even access it with your fingers unless you open the case first.
-Although the thick plastic protects the Ipod, it also adds about twice the thickness to the Ipod as well… making it less “pocketable”
-Very difficult to open/fold-out the first time. For those of you having problems opening the case: Grab the top notched sides of the case and pull straight up, then fold down backwards to use as kickstand.
-No clip on case.
Conclusion: Although this case does a good job protecting the Ipod classic, some design issues/flaws really affected the functionality of it. I found it so annoying to have to open the case up every time I wanted to use the headphone jack that ultimately I decided to buy another case. I use my Ipod in the car with a cassette adapter… so having the Ipod case always opened while driving defeated the purpose of having a protective case. The Ipod could slide out or drop while the case was folded open. The inconsistency in design tells me that they could have done more research to improve their product. It’s important to note that they did get the hole for the dock adapter right… you can actually plug in the USB/dock plug without taking the Ipod out of the case.

|Let’s the iPod Shine Through,
I bought one of these first because of the sturdy plastic case. I am not easy on my hardware so it needs all the protection it can get as I haul it around the state in various hand bags and luggage. Next I really liked the kick stand that lets me set it on the desk to watch videos or prop it on the bedside table where it acts as a travel alarm clock– I’ve long ago given up hope on hotel alarm clocks and wake up services.
Having gone through silicon and leather protectors, this is the one I like the best– so far.

|Okay..,
I just got a 160gb ipod, and I bought this case to protect it. I’d bought a similar one when I got my 60 gig a while ago, and I really liked the protection that the hard shell provided.
This case interested me because of this “kickstand” feature, and I couldn’t seem to find any other cases closer than the one I used to have, so I bought it. Unfortunately, when I put my ipod in, it was a little too small for the case, so it jiggles around inside the case a bit. Then I realized that for this “kickstand” feature, half of the back of the case slides off and down to hold your ipod up. It stands good, but it also easily opens up like that when you DONT want it to, like when I put it in my bag or hold it in my hand the wrong way.
All in all it’s a pretty good case, but I think it could have been refined a little more so it doesn’t jiggle so much or accidentally open.
