iPod shuffle is jaw-droppingly small and enormously colorful in black, silver, pink, blue, and green. And even more brilliant, the VoiceOver feature tells you what song is playing and who’s performing it. It can even tell you the names of your playlists, giving you a new way to navigate your music with the controls located on the earphone cord. Clip a 2 GB or 4 GB iPod shuffle to your sleeve, running shorts, or backpack and take up to 1,000 songs wherever you go. Clip a 4 GB iP

Apple’s Misstep,
I have been a loyal user and fan of Apple products for many years, but the new Shuffle is a disaster from an ergonomic and usability standpoint. Moving all the controls to the earbuds is the problem. First, you have to use Apple earbuds to control the device and my ears don’t “fit” well with them. Second, it is not easy or convenient to use the controls where they are situated. Finally, the controls had a tendency to malfunction (stop working, doing random things, etc) after they had been in use for 30 minutes or more. I got a new set of earbuds from the Apple store but problems continued. So I returned the new shuffle and have asked Santa to get me a 2nd or 3rd generation Shuffle. It is actually hard to believe that Apple built this product it is so unusable. Feels like it should have been built by Microsoft around the time that Vista was launched!

|Shuffle v4,
I have v1 Shuffle; I was going to buy one of the new shuffles but didn’t like the idea of the requirement to use Apple’s headset.. I have my own headset that is perfect for cycling and running; i.e short cord that doesn’t get in the way.. After reading previous reviews, there is no way I will buy the v4 shuffle… Apple really screwed up on identifying a significant portion of their target market for Shuffles, outdoor sports… Duh!

|i wish i could help you hate on this superb product…..but…..,
at 47 years of age my work out years are a fair bit behind me . this is my commute to work and back stereo . currently loaded with fantastic modern creative jazz and popular music . i often wear this into places to shop for film and various goods . it’ll hold over 500 songs (and believe me when i say many of the jazz tracks are lengthy) . i’m not the least bit self conscious about where the volume , pause and so forth are located . i can clip it on the inner sleeve of my short sleeve shirt and just go . it’s so tiny but the sound is so awesome . see , i grew up on black and white t.v. with no remote control . forgive me if i can’t (simp)athize with all the detractors here . it’s even ten dollars less than what i paid for it . perhaps the wily young people disliked it in order to drive the price down ? of the two ipods i own , the other being a big 60 gb horse , this one sees virtually all the action . love it . hope you do as well . NO complaints .
